The
Richness of Northern Kenya Safari - 6 Days (ITS 160)
Day
1: Nairobi
On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you are
received by our special courtesy team. You are driven to one
of the top five star hotels in Nairobi in a luxury vehicle
arriving to a warm reception. The afternoon is spent at leisure
or you have the option of a city tour, a Nairobi National
Park tour or a visit to the nearby Bomas of Kenya for traditional
dancing. A candle lit dinner in one of Nairobi's top restaurants
concludes the day's activities.
Day
2: Nairobi-Treetops
After a leisurely breakfast leave the bustling metropolis
of Nairobi, driving north on good tarmac road past lush pineapple,
banana and coffee plantations heading for the slopes of Mount
Kenya to the Outspan Hotel for lunch. After Lunch you are
transferred by a four wheel drive vehicle to the Treetops
Hotel which is built on stilts in the dense forest of Aberdare
Mountains. This hotel has a rich history and is famous as
the place where the current queen of England, Queen Elizabeth,
become the Queen as she was on her honeymoon with her consort
Prince Phillip. A floodlit salt lick makes the viewing of
game from the balcony of the hotel an unforgettable experience.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day
3: Treetops - Sweetwaters
After breakfast proceed further north for Sweetwaters Game
Sanctuary a perfect place to view game even as you engage
in several activities in this private concession including
camel and horse riding, boating etc. All meals at the Luxury
Tented Camp.
Day
4: Sweetwaters
Another day sampling the delights that are to be found in
this tropical paradise that is also known to be the only place
in Kenya where you can view the chimpanzee. You have a choice
of choosing the activities you wish to participate in, either
game viewing, bird watching, walking or riding on the expansive
ranch that makes up Sweetwaters. Dinner and overnight at the
luxury camp.
Day
5: Sweetwaters - Nairobi
Depart Sweetwaters Game Sanctuary in the mid morning driving
leisurely to Nairobi with lunch en route. Dinner and overnight
at Nairobi's Safari Park Hotel or Norfork Hotel.
This
safari has the option of either the traveler continuing to
the Kenya Coast for a five day beach holiday or proceeding
to Tanzania on a 5 days' trip to sample the wildlife that
is in this neighboring country that is only four hours' drive
away from Nairobi. Yet another option is to go Mountain Climbing
and tackle either the peaks of Mount Kenya or Mount Kilimanjaro.
