Buffalo in the Jungle

For those who want to enjoy a basic lifetime safari close to nature, Kenya and Tanzania offer splendid and imaginative romantic itineraries. Unlike the luxury lodges and luxury tented safaris, these are adventure expeditions where your food is bought fresh from supermarkets and carried in your safari vehicle and replacement provisions are bought afresh as the safari progresses. Your cook goes with you on safari and prepares all your food on a campfire. All accommodation is in two person tents which are erected during each stopover or in semi-permanent campsites. As part of the safari expedition and to add to the fun, you are also expected to help put up the tents and get involved in minor camp chores. In some areas such as Lake Nakuru National Park, there are no camps sites and clients are accommodated in comfortable economy class hotels.

Basic Tents

Clients should bring the following:-
Sleeping bag, personal spending money for drinks, small suitcase or ransack for storage space, sturdy safari clothes such as jeans, t-shirts and jumpers, torch, toilet paper, towel, insect repellent and film.

The cost for this tour covers all accommodation in a tourist hotel in Nairobi for the first and last nights on bed and breakfast basis and all meals whilst on safari, all transportation, all park and reserve entrance fees, airport transfers and the services of a full time driver/guide.
