Day
1: Nairobi/ Maasai Mara
We will pick you from your hotel after breakfast; thereafter
depart for Maasai Mara game reserve stopping at the view point
of the Great Rift Valley and at Narok town for lunch. Arrive
in time for a late afternoon or early evening game drive in
this park that is essentially the northern extension of Tanzania’s
Serengeti national park as an artificial border separates
the two. This park animal concentration is second to none
and the big five can be spotted here. The Mara’s
landscape is scenic savannah grassland on rolling hills which
enables the reserve to attract sufficient rainfall to maintain
and support a large population of herbivores, together with
the predators that follow. Proceed to the campsite for dinner
and overnight.
Day
2: Maasai Mara
After breakfast have a full day of game viewing with a picnic
lunch at the Hippo pool where you will have a good opportunity
of spotting Hippos and crocodiles basking in the sun at a
close distance. Mara is renowned for its great herds of plains
game and virtually every type of wildlife to be found in Kenya.
This is also where the annual migration of close 800,000 zebras
and wild beast takes place between the two parks in early
July to September. The animals’ move as a great mass
across the savannah in a follow the leader fashion, they follow
the rains and when they arrive from Serengeti there is new
succulent grass. They return to Serengeti when the grass begins
to whither and when rains are over. Return to the campsite
in time for dinner and overnight.
Day
3: Maasai Mara/ Nairobi
Have an early breakfast followed by your final game tracking
with your guide, in this park that is rich in wildlife on
your way back to Nairobi. You will be arriving here in late
afternoon or early evening, with full of good memories of
your trip as you will have seen the best of Kenya.
MAASAI
MARA AND LAKE NAKURU CAMPING SAFARIS - 4 DAYS (ITSC 28)
Day
1: Nairobi/ Maasai Mara
After breakfast leave for Maasai Mara Game reserve. There
will be a stop at the view point of the Great Rift Valley
whose view of the valley below is splendidly panoramic and
another stop for lunch at Narok town. On arrival proceed on
a game drive in this famous reserve, due to its high animal
concentration and abundance and its yearly seasonal migration
of wildebeest and zebra. Dinner and overnight at the campsite.
Day
2: Maasai Mara
This will be a day of tracking game with your guide, after
an early breakfast. The Mara’s landscape is scenic savannah
grassland on rolling hills which enables the reserve to attract
sufficient rainfall to maintain and support a large population
of herbivores, together with the predators that follow. Elephant,
lion, buffalo can be seen with relative ease though luck is
a necessary factor for spotting rhino and leopard that complete
the big five as the two animals are very timid and sparsely
numbered. Plains game like wildebeest, zebra and Maasai giraffe
abound as well as hippos and a wide variety of antelopes including
impala, dikdik, hartebeest, grant gazelle and Thompson’s
gazelle among others. We will cater for a picnic lunch at
the hippo pool. In the evening, return to the campsite for
dinner and overnight.
Day
3: Maasai Mara/ Lake Nakuru
After breakfast, have a morning game drive with your guide
in this reserve which borders Tanzania’s Serengeti National
park and is the annual seasonal scene of the migration of
close to 800,000 zebra and wildebeest that occurs between
the two parks. Depart for Lake Nakuru National park with a
stop for lunch en route. You will have scenic view of Lake
Naivasha and Mt Longonot which are in the Great Rift Valley
from afar on the main highway. Arrive in time for dinner
and overnight

4: Lake Nakuru/ Nairobi
Leave for a morning game drive after breakfast in Lake Nakuru
National park, which has a fantastic of birdlife including
flamingos, white pelicans and marabou stork. You may spot
white rhino and the rare Rothschild’s giraffe that has
five horns instead of the usual three and clear instead of
spotted shanks (legs). A visit to baboon cliff offers a scenic
view of the lake below and acacia forest. After lunch leave
for Nairobi arriving in the early evening.
MAASAI MARA/LAKE NAKURU/BOGORIA AND BARINGO - 6 DAYS (ITSC
29)
Day
1: Nairobi/ Maasai Mara

Breakfast will be followed by a full day of game drives within
the reserve. You will have a break at the hippo pool for your
picnic lunch. At the Mara you should expect to see three out
of the big five namely Elephant, Lion and Buffalo though luck
is essential to track the other two that is Rhino and leopard
which are very shy and elusive. A wide variety of antelopes
and other plain game can be seen. Scavengers like hyena and
vulture are common. Return to the campsite for dinner and
an overnight stay.
Day
3: Maasai Mara
After breakfast depart on a morning game drive in this reserve,
which is essentially the northern extension of Tanzania’s
Serengeti National Park.Luch at the lodge or campsite. In
the afternoon you have a choice of three activities: -a game
drive or a nature re walk with our Maasai guides: the final
choice is a visit to a Maasai village to see their nomadic
lifestyle at an extra cost payable directly to the Maasai
villagers. All activities end at the campsite by 6.30p.m.where
you will retire for the night after dinner.
Day
4: Maasai Mara /Lake Nakuru
Early morning pre-breakfast game drive. After breakfast depart
from the Mara region for Nakuru with lunch en route. Arriving
in time for dinner and overnight at the campsite.
Day
5: Lake Nakuru/ Lake Baringo
Wake up to an early morning game drive in Lake Nakuru national
park. Flamingos and other water birds that thrive in a salt-water
environment can be seen. With luck you may track the white
rhino and the Rothschild’s giraffe which both have endangered
species status. The park is 188km and is a home to various
antelopes, grazers like warthog, waterbuck and the Cape buffalo.
After game drive depart to Lake Baringo for an hours boat
ride which enables you to see hippos at close range and the
bird life that inhibits this Lake as over 350 species
of
birds have been recorded here including some that conform
to a migratory pattern, as well as crocodiles and Egyptian
geese which migrate all the way from Western Europe. Dinner
and overnight at the campsite.
Day
6: Lake Baringo/ Bogoria/ Nairobi
Leave for Lake Bogoria after breakfast. This is a shallow
soda lake and a home to a large number of birds and rare lesser
kudu. Scalding hot springs and geysers at the southern end
of the lakes spurt and steam their alkaline waters. The bubbling
of hot springs, hundreds of singing weaverbirds and a million
flamingos feeding in the bluish water present a rare scenic
beauty. Driver to Nairobi after the tour of this astonishing
lake.
